2 Part Lesson — While passing from standing, you offer your opponent the option to play his guard (DLR & Reverse-DLR) against your lead-leg; Marcelo explains to his Advanced Class how to deal with these positions after stepping inside: [I] When dealing with the De-La-Riva Guard, point your knee outside and driven down into the DLR-Hook. If your opponent plays Reverse-DLR, point your knee down in the opposite direction. Look to slide over with a Knee Slide Pass after unhooking his foot from your thigh. [II] If your opponent begins inverting with the Reverse DLR, apply the same Knee Slide movement, but catch the underhook when you land heavily in the Half Guard; finish the technique by passsing with Over/Under Control.
