3 Part Lesson — Marcelo teaches a new move one of his students discovered: [I] Hand-fight to set up a penetration step inside your opponent's Butterfly for the Over/Under Pass versus Half Guard. [II] If your opponent gets the underhook before you can after the shot, Backstep to the other side and look for the Underhook or Reverse Underhook to establish your weight. You can also pummel for a Nearside Reverse Underhook, placing your knuckles down on the mat under his armpit, with the plan to hop back over to the other side again for the Over/Under Pass. [III] If your opponent hugs your leg from Reverse Half on the Backstep, slide your hips away to open up the space for the Nearside Reverse Underhook and float back over to the Over/Under Pass.
