2 Part Lesson — Marcelo shows a few ways to maintain Back Control on your Strong-Side: [I] While lying on your Overhand-Side in Seatbelt Control (i.e. resting on your choking arm; where you are stable in the position but lacking in mobility for attack), if your opponent is blocking you from setting your top hook for Full Back Mount, cross your ankles underneath his hips and use the lock in conjunction with the Seatbelt to pry open enough space to insert your foot. [II] If your opponent tries to turn you over to the "bad" side, your Underhand-Side (wherein the opponent has an easier escape but a greater threat from the choke), use your foot to hook behind his knee and kick him back over to your "good" side. If he tries again, or if you notice the escape before having to resort to your hook, simply place your foot posting at an angle to stop him from gaining momentum for the roll.
