2 Part Lesson — Marcelo shows how to get your 2pts for a takedown when the opponent pulls: [I] Dive on the leg of the opponent that he uses to elevate his opposite side; i.e., shoot on the leg that holds the opponent's weight. Attacking his base ensures that the leg will be available, especially when your stances are very low to the mat. [II] If you can manage, grabbing onto the opponent's collar will help you generate forward momentum to catch his leg before the fall. Use the grip to sling yourself forward and launch onto his shin or ankle for the takedown. Make sure to land safely by retracting your arm away from his guard.
