Marcelo helps Jeff (bottom) untwist his upper body while smashed by Half Mount pressure; by pulling back your bottom elbow underneath your body, you can produce enough space to cut your hip back square with your opponent to compose Guard. Marcelo then goes on to show his partner how to prevent the previously discussed technique; he must secure a grip on the guard player's bottom-hand sleeve and pull it away from the direction of the aforementioned escape while passing the Half.
