2 Part Lesson — Marcelo shows how to pass if your opponent wins the Cross-Grip: [I] In the event that your opponent obtains a Cross-Grip for 2on1 Control, immediately answer back by breaking the grip off with a smack. If he is strong and the grip stays, respond by making a Counter-Grip on the same side of his lapel as your caught hand. If he swings your hand away from the same-side lapel, use your free hand to feed his jacket into your fingers for the control. Once you have control over his Lapel and pant leg, you can utilize a Circle Pass to Knee-On-Belly. [II] If your opponent hooks your leg as you circle around for the pass, you will have to address the obstruction; if his hook his retracted, use your forearm to smash off the Hook into a Folding Pass. If his hook is extended, cut your shin over the hook for a Knee-Across Pass. If you can't pummel for the Underhook, maintain top position by spinning to N/S.
