Standing Step Pass, Folding Pass, Leg Over Pass vs Half Guard

2 Part Technique - Always push and hold the opponent's back to the mat when passing his guard. Control at the opponent's stomach and knee, while keeping your far leg out. Attempt the Standing Step Pass, but if the opponent holds a Half Guard, use the Folding Pass. If the opponent reaches under neath for a deep half guard instead, use the Leg Over Pass. These passes are not used in any specific order or sequence, but are executed at the appropriate time from your opponent's reactions.
