3 Part Lesson — Marcelo finds a way to escape from Mount: [I] Turning onto your side is one of the most important aspects of escaping the Full Mount Position; rake your opponent's ankles inside your Quarter Guard and then shove his knee down into your Half Guard. [II] If your opponent transitions to the Technical Mount or S-Mount Position, scoop both arms underneath his leg and exit out through the back door. [III] If you feel your opponent spin to re-face you after you dig under his leg for the Backdoor Escape, hold his hips tightly and continue to run behind his body before breaking out of the bottom position.
