3 Part Lesson — Paul teaches a Self-Defense lesson starting on the feet: [I] Paul demonstrates how to block a strike and take the opponent down with a Sacrifice Throw. Perform the Tani-Otoshi (Valley Drop) technique as instructed for the safety of your partner. [II] Paul shows how to escape from underneath the Mount Position with the Trap-Bridge-'n'-Roll technique known as the Upa Escape (Ut-Oh!, or Oops! Escape). Make sure the partner on top in the mount places the palm of their trapt hand onto the back and off of the mat to avoid breaking any fingers during the roll. [III] Paul breaks open the Closed Guard and executes a Stack Pass with Double-Unders.
