3 Part Lesson — Marcelo recovers from Side Control and a transition to Mount: [I] Twist your body from side to side as you pump your feet against the ground in alternating bridges to open up enough space for framing. Use the frame to make more space for an Underhook to Single or an Elbow-Push Escape. [II] If you cannot pass the opponent's arm across your body for the Elbow-Push, start rocking the other way; swing your legs and sit up into the opponent as you press against his shoulder and biceps for the escape. [III] If your opponent mounts while you are twisting from side to side, press on his knee to keep the leg in place and catch it into a Half Guard. Use your frames to pummel back an Underhook and recover.
