Marcelo helps Zane figure out how to make his Butterfly Sweep effective against larger defensive opponents: Find your grips, scoot close, fall to your side and lift. Keep your bottom leg flexed and planted close to your hips so you can push off the mat and elevate your opponent if they defend by posting a leg out. Ideally, you will want to gain an Under-Hook and/or belt control over your opponent before shifting inward; however, what you manage to collect will depend on how much your opponent is trying to push themselves away to make space against your attack. Focus on getting your heels as close to your butt as possible before falling back to lift up your opponent. Doing so will reduce the counter-torque generated by your opponent's resting mass as you apply leverage with your Butterfly-Hooks for the lift/sweep.
