Advanced Lesson Part 2 of 3 -- Marcelo applies a contingent attack for when it's too slippery for the Arm-Drag to the Back: Optimize your opportunity to successfully pull-off the Standing Arm-Drag by hitting it at the beginning of a match when you and your opponent are still relatively dry, allowing for maximal connection as you attach to their arm. However, if it is later in the match, or if your opponent is sensitive to your attack, aim to capture their leg rather than taking their back; hang off of their arm once again but concentrate on extending your inside leg across your opponent's base so as to trip them up while you perform the drag. Contacting their feet with your leg will help slow down your opponent and prevent them from skipping out of your Single-Leg Take-Down. If your opponent's hands are still posting out onto the mat during your Single, take the chance to climb up onto their back for Seat-Belt Control, or at least a Rear Body-Lock. While holding around your opponent's waist from behind, remember to protect your neck from potential Sit-Out pressure by hiding your head away from their upper back. If you can jump directly to the Seat-Belt, throw your hooks inside and break your opponent down from all-fours where you can then continue your attack from the Back-Mount position.
