Guillotine Choke vs Reverse Half Guard
Advanced Lesson Part 2 of 3 -- Paul connects the Back-Step with a Guillotine: Free your knee as you swing across to the opposite side of your opponent's under-hook and half-guard for the Back-Step Pass; if you don't free it, your opponent may have a chance to counter your efforts with a lever actioned at your hips. Keep your hand posted until you can fence your other arm through for an under-hook. If your opponent gets the under-hook first, look at their neck to see if there's an opening for the Guillotine-Choke. Punch your posting-arm around their head and look to connect your hands together as you step back across for 3/4-Mount. Keeping your knee free above your opponent's knee-line will allow you to rotate into the mount-position where you can then raise your elbow high on top of their shoulder for the finish.
