Counter to Seatbelt Control, Back Escape
Marcelo advises on how to escape from Back-Control: If your opponent has your back with their under-hooking arm on bottom, immediately tuck your chin and use both of your hands to secure grips onto their Seat-Belt Control; once the immediate threat of the choke is momentarily compromised, strive to replace your head with your opponent's head-positioning. Work on breaking your opponent's grip around your upper-body while raising your hips and wriggling your shoulders over their under-hook and onto the mat. Once your upper-back is firmly rooted on the floor, attempt to twist hard into your opponent to take top-position. Doing so will sometimes involve accurately driving your top-side elbow down into their far-side armpit. Don't allow your opponent to bring your body over onto their over-hooking arm, also known as the strong-side back-control; while they may have fewer attacking options, they will be able to hold your back much easier than before.
