Ankle Pull Sweep from Open Guard, Armbar from Mount
Marcelo demonstrates a sequence culminating with an Armbar: Starting on the feet with Collar & Elbow grips controlling your opponent, release your collar-grip and reach behind their head to set up a combination Head-Lock and Hip-Toss (a.k.a Koshiguruma or Hip-Wheel). Make sure to connect your lower back with your opponent's midsection such that you can easily carry their bodyweight across your hips upon contact. Look away from the ground and fling your opponent down to the mat where you can then take top position by securing Under-Hook & Head-Control. Use your Under-Hook to open up their elbow by finger-walking your hand northward and step your knee across their torso into the newly made space for the Full-Mount Position. If your opponent is quick to take advantage of your Under-Hook by directly escaping the Mount with a Bridge-Escape (a.k.a. Arm-Trap & Heist, Buck-n-Roll, Upa, et al.) and they stand up to break open your Closed-Guard, capture both of their ankles with your hands and drive them backwards with your legs against their hips for an Ankle-Pull Sweep (Lumberjack Sweep, Kagatogaeshi, et al.) from Open-Guard. Ride your opponent's falling momentum up back on top into the Full-Mount; slide your knee up to the line of their shoulder on the side of an extended arm while placing your opposite leg perpendicular across their chest, then swing your other foot over their face to land in the Arm-Lock Position (a.k.a. Jujigatame, Cross-Lock, Arm-Scissors, Arm-Bar, et al.). Scoot your hips closer to their shoulder while maintaing full extension in their arm with wrist-control as you fall back and apply pressure to their elbow for the tap-out.
