Marcelo connects another pass together against his opponent's guard: After having broken your opponent's posture backwards from a Seated-Guard to a Standing Half-Guard, they may try to attack your free outside-leg by scooping underneath it with their near-side arm for a form of Deep Half-Guard (Faria-Guard, Y-Guard, et al.) attack. Before your opponent has an opportunity to fully seize control over your legs, quickly pick up your foot from the mat and swing it across your opponent's body towards the opposite side; this particular movement is similar in appearance to the Meia-Lua-de-frente (Frontal Half-Moon or Crescent-Kick) from Capoeira. Once your hip lands on the mat, complete the Leg-Over Pass by pummeling for a far-side Under-Hook before you drop your shoulders down on top of your opponent to pin them flat. If your foot or knee is still trapped in between your opponent's legs after bringing your free-leg across to the far-side, obtain your under-hook and use your free-foot to help kick your trapped-leg free. Establish heavy top pressure by connecting your hands together with Under-Hook and Head-Control to keep your opponent held down for the pass.
