This basic drill involves working on coordinating a defense against your partner's attempt for Seatbelt Control, while simultaneously invoking proper body mechanics for the Sit Out Escape from Turtle. Use your hands to block his arms from connecting the Seatbelt, and raise your nearside leg up to form a strong post. Rely on this post to shift your weight off of your other leg so that it may swing freely underneath you and shoot through for the Closed Guard.
