Over Under from Standing, Breaking the Closed Guard, Knee Slide vs Open Guard, Crucifix Entry vs Star Sweep, Seatbelt Control from Back, Arm Trap from Back
2 Part Technique - Don't bring your opponent to the mat if he jumps for Closed Guard from Standing. Use an underhook to hold him away from the mat and your legs while you work to break his ankles with your other hand pressing down on his knee. When he drops to the mat, widen your base and pin his leg to the mat in preparation for the Knee Slide Pass. However, if he manages to hang backwards and begins to sweep you the Ankle Trap Sweep, kick your leg free and step back out of range, leaving your other foot still vulnerable. Quickly work to open his guard before he has a chance to underhook your near ankle and Star Sweep you. If you break it early in his attempt, simply land as before and pass his guard. If you break it later in sweep, allow him to hold your leg while he turtles and drop into the Crucifix with Seatbelt Control. If he doesn't roll, take his back and set your hooks for the Arm Trap from Back.
