2 Part Technique - Counter your opponent when he looks to take a Single Leg on your Knee-On-Belly position by swinging behind him as he turns to his knees, and fastening the Seatbelt. Set your hooks by hopping into the nearside, or covering his far hip if he tries to roll away. If he realizes he is giving up is back as you spin behind, counter his attempt to flatten back down to the mat by clasping a Kimura Grip on his arm. Drive your weight through the hold, and step over into Mount with it for the armbar.

Because if you  place the head side leg first then the other leg stays behind and you finish in that position which is less secure. By doing the armbar the way he does it Marcelo is securing the body before taking the risk of the full attack.

Try placing the head leg first and then trying to get the other leg over the torso, it's very akward.

For the armbar, why does he step over the body first and then the head?
