2 Part Technique - Use Deep Half Guard verse an opponent if he pressures forward against your non 1 Leg X Guard entry side. For example, Marcelo is only comfortable using 1Leg X Guard against an opponent standing right leg forward and Deep Half against left leg forward. After entering Deep Half Guard, if the opponent's knee is near your head his weight will need to be pushed away. It's important to remember to never stay under the opponent's weight.
