2 Part Technique - Protecting yourself from the opponent's chokes is the most important aspect in defending against the Front Head Lock attacks. Control the opponent's arm and elbow, sit out, and spin to reverse the position. It's common for the opponent's neck to be vulnerable momentarily after a scramble, so look for the Guillotine. If the opponent turns towards your escape, continue protecting your neck and use the control to Hook Sweep the opponent.
