2 Part Technique - It is necessary to secure a control to successfully sweep an opponent. The 2 on 1 Control from Closed Guard complements the Scissor Sweep in this task. If the opponent prevents you from escaping your hips for the Scissor Sweep, open the leg from the opposite side and use the Hook Sweep to score points.
