Guillotine Escape vs Closed Guard Position
2 Part Technique - You have to be aware of the Guillotine Choke after taking your opponent down with a Double Leg Takedown. Immediately, look to defend the threat by overhooking above his elbow, preventing him from finalizing the choke with his elbow on top of your shoulder. Next, analytically peel away his grip based on the vulnerability of his exposed hand edges. Lastly, prepare for your opponent to bail from the bottom position with a quick sit-up; when he posts on your chest, knock away his hand and drive him back down to the mat. Remember to avoid diving your head back into the choke.
