3 Part Lesson - Controlling the opponent's hands will handicap his ability to hold you down, so break his grips before he can pass or immobilize your guard. Use your feet to push and keep the distance and cross his arm to thwart his attack. As you push to create distance, the opponent can collapse and fold your legs, immobilizing your guard. Sit and use your foot hook from a different angle and force the opponent's weight across you, opening 1 Leg X Guard or X Guard.
