Nearside Armbar from Knee-On-Belly, Taking the Back vs Armbar Counter, Seatbelt Control from Back Mount
2 Part Lesson — Marcelo shows a quick n' easy Nearside Armbar from the Knee-On-Belly position; however, despite the technique's speediness, Marcelo still has a back-up plan for when his opponent beats him to the punch: [I] A common posture for an opponent underneath your Knee-On-Belly Control is to frame against your hip with the nearside arm. Take advantage of the arm's extended position by cutting your shin into the nearside armpit, letting the framing hand slip off of your body, and sitting back with his wrist under your armpit for the Nearside Armbar. [II] If for some reason your opponent was able to remove his elbow from danger as you attack, prepare to run around his attempt to rise on top and take his back with Seatbelt Control.
