3 Part Lesson — Marcelo shares with his Advanced Class a series he developed from his first experience with takedowns in jiu-jitsu: [I] Starting with a Collar Grip from Standing (acquired perhaps after a grip-break), lunge forward and crouch down onto the opponent's leg for an Ankle Pick. If the leg you require isn't leading forward, bring the ankle to you by side-stepping and waiting for it to land closer to your shot. [II] If you sense the Ankle Pick is unavailable, opt for the Pega-Paulista; drop down and pull guard with both of your ankles behind the opponent's, thus forcing his fall. [III] If the opponent slips out of the Push-Kick attack, immediately follow-up with a Single Leg Takedown.

High danger of armbar on technique 2 in my opinion, but like everything, timing is important.
