2 Part Lesson — Paul demonstrates how to take the Mount Position from Side Control and finish with an Armbar from S-Mount: [I] Using your underhook from Side Control, finger-walk your hand along the mat to bring the opponent's arm away from his body and opening up the space along his side for your leg. Before crossing your foot to the opposite side, make sure to slap it on the mat and drive your knee up to avoid his escape. [II] The idea here is to mold your legs around the opponent's body; apply the armlock by forcing the opponent to expose his arm with a deep Collar Grip and drive your weight forward behind his arm before turning to the S-Mount. Lean toward his legs to release the weight off of your other leg to pass it over his face for the armbar.
