2 Part Technique - Use the Collar and Elbow Control to force your opponent's back to the mat. If the opponent locks Half Guard to prevent your Knee Slide Pass, immediately secure an Under Hook and work the Over Under Pass vs Half Guard. Use the Under Hook and Head Control in nogi and Over Under Control in gi for the Over Under Pass vs Half Guard. The Under Hook is the most important control to use when passing the Half Guard. If you cannot pummel for the control, drop your weight behind your opponent's elbow as a substitute for the Under Hook instead.
