Breaking the Closed Guard and Knee Slide Through Pass with Collar and Arm Control

2 Part Technique - Before breaking the closed guard by standing, you must get good posture. A great way to get posture is to extend your arms right under the opponent's sternum and raise your head and upper body. Now, stand up and stagger your feet so the opponent cannot reach behind your ankles for a sweep. Once you break the guard, the opponent will reset into Butterfly Guard. Grab the Collar and Arm Control and perform the Knee Slide Through Pass. Now establish Side Control by swimming for the under hook.
