Mount, Spiral Armbar from Mount, Americana, Mount to Back Control, Seatbelt Control from Back Mount
2 Part Lesson — Marcelo counters a common Mount Escape used by strong opponents: [I] If your opponent becomes restless under your weight from mount, or perhaps your opponent is strong enough to press you off, anchor yourself to his legs with your hooks and wiggle free from his posts by cupping the back of his head and arm. Before he recomposes his defensive posture, step forward underneath his arm and place your other leg across his chest and shoulder to fall back for the Spiral Armbar. [II] If your opponent is content lying underneath your mount, force him to expose his Back by pinning his arm down to the mat for the Americana; when he turns onto his side to defend, knock his shoulder across and fasten the Seatbelt.
