Ankle Pull Sweep, Tripod Sweep from Open Guard
2 Part Technique - The Ankle Pull Sweep is a basic and novice sweep, but can link to the more successful Tripod Sweep from Open Guard. Once the opponent frees his foot to prevent the Ankle Pull Sweep, he will expose himself to the Tripod Sweep because of his new stance. Pull the opponent's ankle while pressing his hip with your foot to extend his leg straight, which puts all of his weight on the back leg. Kick out the remaining leg to complete the sweep.
