4 Part Lesson — Marcelo explains a takedown-counter to armbar: [I] Gain an underhook upon sprawling on your opponent's shot to whip him over flat onto his back. [II] Keep your weight on your opponent the entire time while pummeling for the underhook as he drives; not enough weight can result in an illegal crank or a reversal. [III] Make sure to run around laterally as you whip the opponent over to increase your effectiveness and remove his defenses. [IV] Once you land with the underhook, keep his hand on your far shoulder and try to pin his other arm with your legs in a Mounted Crucifix Position. Pinning the nearside arm can clear a path to the Farside Armbar.
