Back Step Pass vs Half Guard
2 Part Technique - If you lose the important under hook in the Over Under Pass vs Half Guard, flatten the opponent down using your weight to prevent him from taking your back. Back step over using your new base, bring your hip to the mat, and immediately secure the Under hook and Head Control. Use the bottom of your foot to press at the opponent's knee to pass the Half Guard. If he follows with another under hook when you Back Step, secure over his arm and onto his back to create the control needed to pass.
