2 Part Lesson — Marcelo shows his Inverted Armbar against a Roll Escape: [I] Elevate your opponent overhead with a Hook Lift to force his post into the Inverted Armbar; if your opponent is quick enough to roll over before catching the lock, maintain control over his arm and capture one or both of his legs by swinging your outside foot across the back of his thigh(s) mid-roll. Next, slide your other leg underneath the opponent's shoulder, propping it upright against his armpit to capture the Armlock Position for the Armbar. [II] If you miss your opponent's legs during the Roll Escape, drop your leg heavily across your opponent's chest to prevent him from sitting back up and cut your other leg again under the shoulder to finish the submission.
