3 Part Lesson — Marcelo finds a way to open up a conservative kneeler: [I] If no openings are presented during the Hand-Fight, shove your opponent's shoulders and collide with Double Underhooks when he rebounds back. Contain his posture and respond with a Hook Sweep or Hook Lift, undermining his base for greater control. [II] If after bumping your opponent off-balance, he opens space around his knee as opposed to his elbow(s), scoot underneath his leg and use the opening to surround him with 1Leg X for the sweep. [III] After your knock your opponent back with the sweep, make sure to hold onto his ankles; this will prevent him from creating base with his feet from which he can then try to avoid the reversal. [IV] If your opponent replies by binding your legs together after you nudge him, splay your knees apart and snap on the Guillotine Choke.
