3 Part Lesson — Marcelo re-counters his Opponent's N/S-Choke Escapes: [I] Keep off of your knees when applying weight while on top in Over/Under Control from North/South; if your opponent begins crunching to face away from your choke, use your free hand to brace against his hip. When he is settled, lock your hands together outside of his arms and finish the choke. [II] If you lock up the N/S-Choke with his arm inside, you can finish as long as he doesn't fight to close his elbow; if he does this, use your knee on the same side to scrape away his arm and then lock your hands for the normal finish. [III] If your opponent presses against your face to alleviate the squeeze on his neck, unclasp your grip and use your hand to peel off his posts and immediately reconnect after you hide your face.
