Marcelo reminds his student the importance of not leading with your head before your hands. It's dangerous to place your head close to your opponent's chest without first tying up his or her arms; you can easily fall prey to a Guillotine Choke if you're not careful. Instead, keep your head behind your hand-fighting, and wait for the opportunity to close the distance for an attack safely.
