2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo inverts his opponent's guard to land in North/South: If your opponent is keeping their knees close to their shoulders and contracting into a shell, it will be difficult to pull their leg straight for a typical pass. Use their compactedness against them by making shallow grips on their legs and forcing them to swivel underneath you. Criss-cross your arms to spin your opponent but release your grips and begin pummeling for Double Reverse Underhooks. Keep your knees of the ground but your hip low when stabilizing the N/S Position. [04:34] If your opponent tries to prevent the spin, they may use their leg to hook yours; be ready to pummel your leg free and continue forward with the inverted pass. Have in mind a follow-up technique that will lead you to submission so you can practice chaining together your moves in a Sequence.
