Marcelo and Hana help Savannah defend a sequence of attacks from Lasso: Posture yourself up away from your opponent's torso by making a palm-down, closed-finger grip around their lapels and posting your arm such that your shoulder remains mobile; if you sense your opponent trying to pummel their leg inside for a Lasso-Hook, try cutting them off by bringing your shoulder and head close inside to occupy the space they need. If your opponent happens to make the Lasso, don't allow them to control the other half of your body; this includes a grip on your far/outside sleeve or even your trailing leg/pant. If you lean yourself away from your opponent's reach, you may end up giving them enough room to invert underneath for an Omoplata. Be ready to defend the Omoplata by keeping a strong base and yanking your arm free. Beware of follow-up attacks on your legs after breaking out of the Omoplata attack; be prepared to high-step out with both legs if necessary to avoid any attempts at seizing your feet.
