Marcelo, Josh, and Jordan briefly discuss the parameters for securing the finish with Elbow-Control: After winning the inside-tie during the hand-fight exchange, latch your hand onto your opponent's elbow-joint and secure your palm at the base of their triceps by squeezing your fingers and thumb around it as if turning a door knob. Next, jam your shinbone contralaterally against the axillary portion of their shoulder to block them from pressuring forward so that you may then elevate your hips behind your hand. Set your outside foot on top of their back to help elevate yourself and pinch their wrist with your armpit to prevent them from rotating out of the lock. When all of the component parts come together, this submission directly from the hand-fight can be a devastatingly quick tap due to the sudden hyperextension.
