Great set up to crucifix from a potential bad situation.  Very detailed and nice finish. Thanks.

Awesome.

Marcelo showed something similar in his Series III DVD--on the Attacking the Back disc, iirc.

However, there, instead of pushing the elbow and escaping to be almost parallel with the opponent, he spun through toward his opponents legs, diving in an almost tornado roll kind of thing, and ended up in the same crucifix position.

Anyone have an idea of how these two approaches relate? Is one preferable to another, or are they merely alternatives?

that's really slick. I'd like to put in a request for a counter to the elbow push (other than jumping your legs over your oppenents head).

thanks.
