2 Part Technique - If your opponent is able to take out your bottom hook while you have his back in Seatbelt Control, reset it back inside by coming up on top and driving him onto his side as you step over into Mount. Use the Seatbelt to pull him onto his opposite side as you set the missing hook back in. If you feel his shoulder begin to slip out before you can drive him onto his side, prepare to move into the North South position with Double Over Control. The double overhooks are essential for setting up a direct path toward the North South Choke. Use a Gable Grip to hold him down for the squeeze and finish.

Question for Professor Marcelo: When you have the seat belt position and your opponent attempts to escape with his hips by beating your hook; once you recover the back control position, why do you pull him back on top of you to the facing up position as opposed to keeping him face down, flattening him out and finish with the choke from there? Isn't the face-down position from the top a stronger position to finish via rear naked from?
