2on1 Control Escape vs Side Control, Hip Roll Escape vs Side Control
2 Part Technique - Break your opponent's grip from your collar as he passes and attempts to establish Side Control with an underhook; form 2on1 Control with his sleeve to prevent him from settling on top and look to insert your butterfly hooks to recover guard. If he's too far away to insert a hook or block him with your shin, turn onto your side and push away his sleeve for the Hip Roll Escape. If he's too far north to swing your leg back into guard on him, slightly turtle over with your shoulder still connecting to the mat and roll both of your legs over into guard.
