Hand Fighting from Standing → Breaking Gi Grips from Standing → Guard Pull from Standing
Marcelo creates the following drill during class: 1½ minutes of training between a pair of partners, alternating every round. One partner is the designated Guard-Puller and must complete his transition within the first 30 seconds of the round. The Standing partner cannot flee the engagement but can break grips. Regular live training for the remaining time left commences as soon as the puller claims a downed position.
