2 Part Technique - Use the opponent's elbow as a point of leverage to sit yourself up right against his Side Control. If the opponent doesn't hold, move you hips away and transition to his back. The opponent might hide his arm, preventing you from pushing his elbow across. Swim your arm inside the opening instead and sit again. Use the crossed position to recover your guard.
