1 Part Technique - Whenever you find yourself facing away from your opponent under Side Control, resort to the Hip Roll Escape to recover back your guard. Turning back into him will only lend him the time he needs to establish his pass or secure an underhook. Without giving up your back, push off of your toes and rock your hips into his chest as you spin back around and face your opponent with your legs. The movement begins however, with control over his arm as his drapes across your body to look for his underhook.
