Knee on Belly Control, Sprawl vs Single Leg
3 Part Technique - You must take advantage of the situations your opponent gives you. Sometimes your opponent will give up their Back to defend the Guard Pass and give you Side Control to defend the Back. For example, after the Guard Pass your opponent might Turtle to prevent points and rotate again to prevent Back Control into Side Control. Stay a step ahead by establishing Knee on Belly during the transition to Side Control. Be prepared to post with your arms and establish Knee on Belly again if your opponent attempts to pull you over. If your opponent attempts to Single Leg, Sprawl to counter his move. He may attempt to transition into Half Guard instead of the Takedown, so continue your Sprawl while circling and again re-establish Knee on Belly.
