Leg Over Pass vs Half Guard, Leg Over to Back Step Half Guard
2 Part Technique - When you stand to pass make certain to keep the opponent pinned to the ground. You don't want to give him the option for the opponent to stand also. The opponent may hold your leg in Half Guard to prevent the pass while reaching under for a stronger Half Guard or possibly X Guard Entry. Quickly swing your leg over to prevent all of those possibilities and pummel for an under hook to secure the position. If you cannot secure an under hook and the opponent is attempting to take your back, switch to the Back Step Half Guard position instead for control and continue with the pass to score points.
