3 Part Lesson — Marcelo trusts Joel to hold him up after jumping Closed Guard: [I] If your opponent jumps Closed Guard, keep your base, place your hands on his hips, and force Half Guard with Double Under Control as you move up for the Over/Under Pass. [II] If after your opponent's guard breaks, he begins framing against your body for space, switch your hands from pressing his hips to pulling his lapels. [III] Remember to keep your elbows tight, don't let him gain an underhook, and prevent him from bringing his legs inside by driving your knee up the middle for the Half Mount.
