Collar and Elbow Control Knee Slide Pass vs Butterfly
2 Part Technique - Use the Collar and Elbow Control to force your opponent's back to the mat. Swing your knee to create space for an easier pass and to counter any Single Leg style sweeps. If the opponent continues to hold Half Guard to prevent your Knee Slide, kick away the securing leg to free yourself for the pass. Also, the opponent may not give you an Under hook which is needed for passing Half Guard. Use this to your advantage by pressing his elbow inwards and wedging it against your body for a more stable situation.
